I received a vasectomy here. The procedure was filed with pain. The "needle less* is a joke. They had to keep giving me doses throughout the entire process. After a couple months I still had severe pain so I called back. I was brushed off and told to take a high dose of acetaminophen. I did, it did not work.
I had so many issues, I ended up going to and actual urologist for a reversal. Once that was complete, all my problems were gone. Once you mention where you got your vasectomy, they know exactly what the problem is. THE "DOCTOR".
Just saying. There's a reason he doesn't do any procedures and the local big hospitals and has to go to rural, small hospitals.

For having the most non-ideal procedure for a male, they made the process very smooth and comfortable. If you follow their directions after the procedure, you should be feeling back to normal in a week.

Recently my daughter (18 years old) had Kidney Stones and was in the ER with them. We reached out to Dr.Zafar ASAP. He looked at her CT scan and then gave us a few options, he is always so compassionate, respectful, and completely sympathetic to your pain. He did not mess around with her stones and was able to remove them the next day. He takes the time to talk to you about how procedures go and what to expect. I am so thankful that we have him to help us through all of the kidney issues in the family.

Getting a vasectomy always sounded like one of those things that would be the scariest part of anyone’s life. But Dr. Zafar was an incredibly understanding, considerate professional who made the experience feel as straightforward as getting a haircut done. What I expected to be a painful, uncomfortable hour ended up being a ten minute process that had me surprised when it was already all finished. Had a very pleasant experience with Dr. Zafar. He did a wonderful job keeping up conversations during my procedure which helped keep my mind off what he was doing. Absolutely zero pain, only very mild discomfort for a few seconds here and there. From start to finish my vasectomy took maybe 12 minutes.

We operate our offices to meet the needs of the wide variety of patients we see. We have extended office hours, and are open Saturdays to accommodate all of our patients. We also accept most major medical insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid (Title 19). If necessary, we will work with a patient’s insurance company to get approval for a procedure.

ABOUT FAWAD ZAFAR, M.D
Fawad Zafar, M.D. has been in practice since 1985 and has been serving the Iowa community since 1996.
At King Edward Medical College he was the recipient of the “Most Distinguished Student” award and graduated at the top of his class. Upon completing his medical education, Dr. Zafar went on to pursue his urology training at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and at Ealing and Hammersmith Hospitals in England.
In 1994, he completed a Fellowship in Endourology at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. The focus of his fellow ship was in urinary and bladder stones, male and female incontinence, and male impotence.
